Welcome to the Roadbuilders Safety Training System (RSTS)

The roadbuilding and heavy construction industries are recognized as some of the riskiest industries from an occupational health and safety perspective.

The Alberta Roadbuilders and Heavy Construction Association (ARHCA) has developed the Roadbuilders Safety Training System (RSTS), to educate workers about the hazards associated with these industries, and what they can do to make sure work sites are as safe as possible—not only for themselves, but also for their co-workers and motorists.

The RSTS is a comprehensive basic safety awareness program with content focused on the roadbuilding and heavy construction industries.  It is designed to educate workers in these industries to improve their ability to identify hazards, manage risk and reduce incidents.  It is an excellent tool for onboarding new workers to the roadbuilding and heavy construction industries as well as a great safety awareness refresher for experienced workers.
